Join us at Green Tea for a summer of storytelling, delight, collaboration, and confidence building. Everything you love about our year round Green Tea classes, but distilled into a two week workshop which will culminate in a fully mounted performance of Shakespeare’s classic “The Taming of the Shrew.”
Lucentio wishes to court the lovely Bianca, one of two daughters to Baptista Minola of Padua. He has declared that despite Bianca’s already existing two suitors, no one may pursue her until his eldest daughter, Katherine, is wed. The problem? Katherine is more than just rough around the edges, she’s incorrigibly ill-tempered. Enter Petruchio of Verona, who intends to marry the shrewd woman, but can he tame her? Will Lucentio have a chance to woo and marry Bianca?
Theater Educator and STS Board Member Hillary Bogers directs Shakespeare’s hilarious story of conflict and unpredictable love with Sweet Tea’s Youth Theatre Company, Green Tea.
The Taming of the Shrew will be staged and performed in Fayetteville, NC independently and as preshow for Pericles.
