Welcome to the Sweet Tea Shakespeare experience.
PRESHOW WITH WOCO
Most of our in-person and full-length online productions feature preshow entertainment with live music featuring our house band, The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (also known as “WOCO”). Along with music, enjoy plenty of warm hospitality and ways to engage, from bidding on special seating to adorning Sweet Tea Shakespeare swag.
Most in-person preshows feature food options from quick snacks to full meals or food trucks. When the venue permits (and most do), we also offer beer, wine, and a show-themed cocktail along with our signature sweet tea.
In-person & Streaming Tickets
Find all the details you need about in-person and streaming tickets below. It works pretty much like everywhere else you snag tickets online: purchase with a credit card here and tickets land in your email inbox. You do not need to print the tickets (though you’re certainly welcome to). We’ll have a record on site.
For our streaming events, you’ll get an on-demand streaming link sent to you once it is available and/or a live streaming link if applicable. Right now, we’re most commonly sending on-demand links.
Standard Tickets vs. Memberships
All shows, whether in-person or streaming, are available via standard ticketing below. Alternatively, you can access all shows at the appropriate Membership level.
All Members receive unlimited streaming access to our streaming content, including all full-length mainstage productions, throughout the year, as well as our back catalog of past productions. At certain levels, Members can also receive single or multiple tickets to in-person productions.

Policies
Communicable Disease Policy
STS reserves the right to issue guidance to audiences regarding communicable diseases. By attending, guests are certifying that they are not sick. Any guest suspected of illness will be dismissed from the venue. Guests attend all STS performances at their own risk. STS assumes no liability for any illness, disease, or injury incurred in association with public performances.
General Policies
We offer no refunds for purchased tickets. Free exchanges are available to persons suspecting they have or have been exposed to COVID-19, as well as season ticket holders and our Members on Patreon. All others may be subject to exchange fees.
On nights we move indoors due to rain, you can return FOR FREE to performance of the same production later in the run with a valid purchase.
Season tickets may be used for you and any guests you wish to include; however, season tickets may not be transferred to others without contacting the Box Office.
No outside food or beverages; no coolers.
Please note that all coupon codes expire at midnight prior to the relevant performance. After this point and mid-afternoon on the day of show, all tickets revert to at-the-door pricing and may not be discounted.
Locations & Venues
We perform at a host of venues in Fayetteville, Raleigh, Sanford, and other areas in North Carolina. Always check event details carefully.
One thing to note is that our mailing address is *not* a performance venue.
THE EXPERIENCE
We recommend arriving 45 minutes prior to the performance for our live preshow featuring our house band, the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WoCo) or special guests.
We offer local craft beer, wine, and food for sale at most performances *except* William Peace University due to venue restrictions. Outside food and beverage is not permitted due to local and state regulations.
BRING YOUR OWN SEATING (SOMETIMES)
For our outdoor performances, you should bring your own seating or choose from our rental chair and quilt seating options. Indoors, we provide seating, with an optional rental seat cushion. All rental options are subject to availability.
Parental Guidance
With the exception of our (often very adult) LIT Drunk Shakespeare series, no event will normally exceed a PG-13 rating. Occasionally, you will encounter content with bawdy jokes, physical or sexual violence, intimacy, drinking, racism, sexism, ableism, and other things common to Shakespeare plays as well as language in the plays and in preshow song content that may include four-letter words common to modern popular music. Any additional parental guidance particular to a show will be provided in event descriptions.
