Escape to a Community- Driven Season Kickoff Concert and Festival Under the Stars
Sweet Tea Shakespeare will be hosting a live music kickoff concert August 20, 2022, in Downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina. The concert features their house band, the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WoCo for short), as well as regional folk-rock band Driskill, and the All-American Jazz Collective. The concert will celebrate Sweet Tea Shakespeare’s first ten years with a playlist made up of past audience and artist favorites. Beer, wine, and a custom cocktail will be served along with sweet treats for a summer concert under the stars. Tickets are Pay What You Will, with all proceeds benefiting Sweet Tea Shakespeare’s community of artists and collaborators.
This family-friendly event will include music from past performances such as The Tempest, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Antony & Cleopatra, and Jane Eyre. Audiences can expect a nostalgic return to popular moments throughout our 10 years of classic storytelling from shows at venues such as The Poe House, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens. Join us for a new experience under the stars at The YARD to reminisce over 10 years of classic storytelling, and to look ahead to the next decade of wondrous strange, whimsical, storytelling.

The Yard on Arch Street
Performances take place at the Arch Street Yard in downtown Fayetteville NC. Performances are outdoors at 325 Arch Street with a nearby alternate location for inclement weather. Parking may be found in a small garage directly across from the Yard on Arch Street. Patrons should provide their own seating outdoors; indoor seating is provided. Outdoors, patrons should expect sidewalks accessible via ramp/driveway as well as sloped and uneven grass. Restroom facilities are limited, but may include portable restrooms.
Snacks available for purchase, as well as signature sweet tea, craft beer, wine, and seasonal cocktails. Outside food and drink are not permitted unless otherwise noted.
For our outdoor performances, you should bring your own seating or choose from our limited rental chair and quilt seating options. Should we move indoors in case of rain, we provide limited basic folding chair and quilt seating, along with an optional rental seat cushion, subject to availability.

No outside food or beverages; no coolers.
Some events have age recommendations/restrictions, e.g. STS Hours have some adult language and therefore are recommended as PG-13 appropriate, LIT events are generally for adults 18+.

We offer no refunds for purchased tickets for any reason. Please be aware we perform outdoors in high heat and humidity, and the chairs we provide are sometimes regular folding chairs. We always invite audience members to make adjustments for their own comfort, sight lines, and out of kindness for others.
