Sweet Tea Shakespeare brings Romeo & JuliLIT, part of its ‘LIT’ drunk Shakespeare series, to Fayetteville and Sanford
Lit is Sweet Tea Shakespeare’s irreverent celebration of Shakespeare — over drinks and is one of the hallmark live events in Fayetteville NC
Two star-crossed lovers force rival households together like never before. The Capulets and Montagues have been torn apart by an ancient grudge. Romeo, a Montague, and Juliet, a Capulet bring their families together through love, war, and ultimately death. Plus, lots of boozy potions to get your blood pumping. Adults 18+ only. Join us for this bold and irreverent take on Shakespeare that will have you doubled over with laughter. Each event features local beer, quality wine options, a signature cocktail, and light meal options. Our LIT events are raucous, energetic, hilarious events in Fayetteville NC and throughout the region.
Since 2015, Sweet Tea Shakespeare has been delighting audiences with its Drunk Shakespeare series. These events have become so popular that we’ve added Romeo & JuliLIT to our season.
The play tells the story of two young lovers who are forced to bring their families together. The Capulets and Montagues have been feuding for years, and Romeo and Juliet are determined to end the conflict. But their love is not without danger. As the play progresses, Romeo and Juliet are forced to confront their families head on. And, as always, there is plenty of booze to keep things exciting.
The play is appropriate for adults 18 and over, so be sure to leave the kiddos at home.
If you’re looking for a night of fun and entertainment among many of the best things to do in Fayetteville NC, be sure to check out Romeo & JuliLIT.
