Last night was a grand one for Sweet Tea. We gathered at one of our favorite local restaurants, Fayetteville Pie Company, to announce both our 2018-19 season and our Tastemakers initiative.
First, the season. In 2018-19, STS will bring you a slapstick farce, a riotous addition to our Lit series, the return of a holiday tradition, a darkly comic musical masterpiece baked in a pie, a fresh take on a classic legend, a tale of villainy and deceit, and a clever Shakespearean romcom. Are you excited yet?

A season this great deserves to be seen by as many people as possible; that’s where the Tastemakers come in. Tastemakers are a highly social bunch with sway among their friends, family, and colleagues, and have been hand-selected for that very reason. Tastemakers represent us not only in their social networks, but in their lives, businesses, activities, and one-on-one interactions throughout the community. Tastemakers make it their goal to help us reach a larger audience, to bring people to shows, to increase awareness of our work, and to open doors of opportunity for partnerships, collaborations, and resource acquisition. As thanks for spreading the word and growing our audience, they receive show tickets, cross-promotional opportunities, discounts on Bard Sale merchandise, and other perks.
